You must succeed on a ranged touch attack to strike a target with the ray. The subject takes a penalty to Strength equal to 1d6 (the penalty from multiple castings of this spell does not stack, it overlaps). The subject’s Strength score cannot drop below 1 due to this spell alone.
You can Augment the spell in any of the following ways:
- For every 2 additional spell points you spend, the strength penalty inflicted by the ray increases by 1.
- If you spend an additional 2 spell points, you inflict a dexterity penalty rather than a strength penalty.
